Our Team
Emily Lewis and Lindsey Sanders are the joint Managing Directors of Lewis Sanders Legal Recruitment and have over 20 years combined legal recruitment experience across Asia. Both have extensive experience of in-house and private practice recruitment at all levels from associates to partners/teams and general counsels.
Lindsey Sanders graduated with a BA (Hons) in Psychology & Sociology from the University of Nottingham in 1994. She began her career in legal recruitment in the UK in 1997 before relocating to Hong Kong in 2000 where she spent six years with a leading recruitment consultancy covering private practice and in-house. Lindsey has placed associates, partners and teams across a range of disciplines at international firms in Hong Kong, China, Singapore, Bangkok and Tokyo, and has successfully completed a number of assignments at global investment banks, financial services organisations and Fortune 500 companies. She also has a strong track record of placing law firm management professionals at international law firms in Hong Kong.
Emily Lewis graduated from Edinburgh University with an MA (Hons) in History in 1995. She trained and qualified with Linklaters in London where she practised financial services litigation before moving into legal recruitment with a leading UK consultancy in London. In 2002, Emily relocated to Hong Kong and worked with a well-known legal recruitment company placing lawyers at all levels in both law firms and in-house, as well as assisting BD and HR professionals. Emily has gained quality experience and built up strong relationships with international law firms, investment banks and multi-national companies across Asia and has successfully placed associates and partners in Hong Kong, China, Singapore and Tokyo. Through her contacts in the UK and Australia, she has also assisted lawyers in Asia who are looking to return home or move overseas to gain wider international experience.
Eleanor graduated with First Class Hons LLB from the University of Hong Kong. Prior to moving into legal recruitment, Eleanor was a qualified lawyer at Herbert Smith where she practised commercial litigation for 3 years. Having worked at two UK based recruitment consultancies prior to joining Lewis Sanders, Eleanor has a track record of placing lawyers at all levels into international law firms, financial institutions and multi-national corporations. At Lewis Sanders, Eleanor handles both in-house and private practice recruitment in Hong Kong and across Asia.
Alexandra graduated from the University of Exeter with a BSc in Law & Society and a BA in Law. She relocated to Hong Kong in 2007 to join a global legal recruiter and has successfully placed lawyers at all levels into international law firms and multi-national corporations across the region. At Lewis Sanders, Alex handles in-house and private practice recruitment matters in Hong Kong, China and across Asia.
Chris graduated with a combined LLB and BCom (Distinction) from the University of New South Wales. Prior to moving into legal recruitment, Chris trained at Deacons in Hong Kong, where he subsequently qualified as a lawyer in the Financial Services practice group. Chris works with candidates and clients across both private practice and in-house recruitment with a focus on China and Hong Kong.
Andrea graduated with a JD from Seattle University and a B.A in Political Science from the University of Washington. Prior to moving into recruitment, she was a Director at Legal Marketing China and worked as the Practice Development Manager for a top Wall St firm in Hong Kong for six years. At Lewis Sanders she focuses on BD/Marketing recruitment at all levels as well as US associate recruitment in private practice across Hong Kong and China. Andrea is a fluent Mandarin speaker.
Octavia graduated with a BSc (Hons) from University of Portsmouth in 1999 and began her career in real estate in London. She relocated to Hong Kong in January 2006 and made the transition into recruitment with a leading international consultancy working with international corporations/MNCs across Asia. Octavia joined Lewis Sanders in 2010 where she is responsible for client and candidate management and also marketing projects.
